Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by. Let’s start off with something fun, what is one thing you can’t live without?
BOOOOOOKS. A wool sweaters. Because I’m THAT cool.
What made you want to be a writer?
I read stories and then end up thinking of other ones. I’ve done this since I was a kid. My husband thinks I’m crazy because I talk to my characters out loud in my car. So I figured I should write them down sometime.
If you could only read one book (or series) for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I’ve probably read it 15 times. Not kidding.
What are you working on right now?
The sequel to Bad Idea and a novella, Legally Hers.
Which book of yours are you most proud of?
I am REALLY proud of Bad Idea. It was hard to write for number of reasons, and I’m really excited about the finished product.
Who’s your favorite book boyfriend?
Jamie Fraser. Hands down. But I’m also really partial to Drew Forrester or Jesse Ward.
What are the three things you think every great book needs?
Characters that feel real, a strong sense of place, and a thread that keeps you reading.
What’s something your readers can count on when they read your books?
Character depth. From what I hear, my characters evoke really strong emotions. People throw their kindles. And then they tell me they’re in love with the hero or heroine. Love them or hate them, my characters make you feel.
Who or what inspires you?
Oh man. Everything. People who know me and know my life pick out kernels of it in all of my books. Bruce Springsteen. A Boston street corner. One great date. My favorite pair of shoes. And so forth.
What are you currently reading?
Dylan Allen’s Thicker Than Water, CL Stacey’s Plan B, and an ARC from Jessica McCrory.
Before you go, tell us your favorite joke!
Shit. I’m terrible at jokes. Really, I’m the worst. And the only one I can think of right now is not something I would ever want associated with my name. So no. Just tell them I’m dull and unfunny. #sadface [I don’t believe that for a second, but I’m going to let you off because I need you to write all the words for me!]
Where can we find you if we want to stay in touch?
You want the whole list? Stalker. Okay, okay, I love it.
